The burgers (from local beef) and ice cream (from local dairy cows) are simple classic American favorites residents enjoy along with upscale farm to table refined dining experiences throughout the region. You will likely pass a farm stand or farmer’s market in your daily travels and the produce is ripe for the picking for the evening meal.

Healthy meals are highlighted alongside nutrition education opportunities and garden activities (teaching students where their food comes from by growing it themselves). The Farm to School Program is often integrated into the curriculum: including math, science, language arts, health and nutrition, art, and social studies. This is but one component of the New Jersey pre-K through high school public education system. The New Jersey public school system consistently ranks very high in the country, number 3 according to WalletHub in 2022. Eighty five of New Jersey’s high schools ranked in the nation's top 10% in 2022 according to the U.S. News & World Report ( the report covered more than 17,800 public high schools). New Jersey is a great place for your children to eat and learn!

Job Opportunities: New Jersey has a diverse economy with robust job opportunities. New Jersey’s principal industries include Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology, and Life Sciences. The state boasts the highest number of scientists and engineers in the world per square mile working in the good historic company alongside inventor and businessman Thomas Edison. Some of the best hikes include Sourland Mountain Preserve (through boulders and boardwalks) in Somerset County and the Green Trail in Cheesequake State Park (which will take you through rolling hills and marshlands with a little help from a number of boardwalks) in Middlesex County. And if you want to catch some waves, the Jersey Shore has some of the best surfing on the East Coast.
